The Room Ballot

Fitzwilliam College offers guaranteed Accommodation for 3/4 Years of Undergraduate Study. First Years are all randomly allocated a room by college, however for all students going into their Second/Third/Fourth Year you will need to enter a ballot.

All students on the ballot will be able to either ballot as a group or as an individual. Once the college has received the list of individuals/groups, they will then randomly pull names/groups 'out of a hat' and then you will be placed in that order. The first name/group selected will get the first pick, and the second name/group gets the second pick and so on.

Students entering their second year will have the opportunity to also ballot for one of the college-owned Houses all situated nearby. The balloting system will work the same for houses, however, students must ballot as a group that will fill up that house. I.e. Students cannot ballot as a group of 5 for a 9-person house.
