Yes, it's that time of year again. No, not quite as important as JCR elections or CUSU referenda, it's the local elections! If you're registered to vote in Cambridge (and haven't voted here postally) then you're eligible to vote for the local councillor in Castle Ward and the Cambridgeshire PCC on Thursday. The local polling station is the same as last year - St Augustine's Church, on Richmond Road (see the map I lovingly created on Microsoft Paint last year, featuring helpful bright red arrows directing you from the North Plodge. NB: the polling station is actually on the other side of the road to Google's misplaced flag). It's open 7am-10pm. Go and exercise your democratic vote!
Castle is a very closely-contested seat. Last year, the Lib Dem candidate won with 1,288 votes, only 368 more than the fourth-placed Green Party candidate - that's a difference of fewer people than the number of undergrads at Fitz!
