Have a great vac!
As part of the preparation for your exam-term stress relief/procrastination, a football table (free to play) and Sky HD have been ordered and will be installed on Thursday in the JCR/TV rooms respectively - not yet sure when exactly. Apologies for any inconvenience.
I am pleased to announce that the room contracts have been printed, and can be signed by yourself (and only yourself - proxy rules no longer apply) at the accomodation office. Unfortunately, the printing means that any changes to contracts now must be "exceptional" to be admitted. This means that I can no longer make any changes; please see Diane directly if you think you are entitled to a change.
Hopefully the following is a quick overview of the signing procedure:
1. What is the room contract?
The room contracts secure your room and the amoutn of weeks you have asked it for, as well as contain some additional information including what your room should contain.
2. Why do I need to sign it?
In order to secure your room, the contract must be signed.
3. When do I need to sign it by?
Unfortunately there has been a delay in the printing process. This means that the deadline which was in the rules cannot apply. Given the fact that many people have left college, it also seems unfair to put in place an arbitrary deadline. As such, the best that can be said is that IF you are in college, please sign the contracts, AND when you return to college, it would be best if it was seen as a general priority.
College will let me know when they want to put in place as a hard deadline. As soon as I know, I will let, of course, forward on to everyone any details.
Finally, please accept my thanks for all feedback that has been sent in - it will hopefully allow us to fully review the process, ahead of next year's ballot.
All the best for the vacation,
Just another (annoying I know) reminder that the housing ballot survey is still open until midnight tonight. It can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KHKNBLT. Thank you to those who have completed it already. Please give us your opinions so the process can be improved next year!
Just a reminder that the housing ballot survey is still open and can be found here. It's your chance to give us your thoughts on the process and how it could be improved next year. The results will be presented to College at a review meeting and the JCR will respond in due course.
Closing date: Sunday 15th - Midnight
Please let the JCR Treasurer Max (email@example.com) know ASAP if you wish to sell your gown in the hotly anticipated Michaelmas 2nd-hand gown sale.
Tragically the end of term has taken its toll and we haven't had enough responses for performers for tonight's Fitz sessions so we've had to cancel!
We will reorganise one for near the beginning of next term so do not be too disheartened. We're also thinking up some new and exciting events for you all (so get excited).
We hope you all have a lovely last few days in college, and enjoy the break!
Fitz sessions is back this Wednesday at 9pm in the bar. This is the last Fitz sessions of term, a great way for you all to relax and take some time away from those pesky end of term deadlines! We've already got some great acts lined up but as always we are still looking for more!! Please give a member of the Ents team an email/fb message if you'd be interested in performing, whether you're a seasoned veteran, have never sung in front of an audience before or anything in between, anyone is welcome and we'd love some fresh talent! Check out the fb event here. And get down to the bar this Wednesday for a few chilled drinks with some great music (or use it as an opportunity to pre whilst listening to some great music before going out to the last cindies of term!).
